TOGETHER TOWARDS A PLASTIC-FREE BEACH
Single-use plastics are lightweight and are easily blown away by the sea breeze. Unfortunately, these disposable products are still frequently used on terraces, often unknowingly. It is therefore a well-known problem that beaches, the sea, and inland waters are littered with plastic waste, such as straws, honey stirrers, and biscuit wrappers.
At Hart Beach, we believe this needs to change. The North Sea is our backyard and we want to protect it. Fortunately, excellent, sustainable alternatives are available today.
What does it involve?
The principle is simple: we completely ban single-use plastic from our terrace. What we don't use cannot blow away or end up in the environment. By making this conscious choice, we directly contribute to the reduction of litter on the beach and in the sea.
