Walden Surfboards was the first brand to design a complete line of surfboards specifically for women: Walden Wahine (Wahine is Hawaiian for girl). They didn't just add a pink board to an existing men's line, but developed a full range for the entire spectrum of female surfers.

The Magic rocker, Magic rails, and Magic hull are unique to Walden Surfboards. The front half of the hull is concave; this single concave transitions into a double concave at the back, and the last third transitions into a moderate "V". The concave nose provides lift and stability, perfect for noseriding. The double concave hull and hard rails make the board fast, stable, responsive, and agile in all conditions. The Magic rails are hard, harder than most other longboards, but the unique bottom curves and bevels prevent the rails from catching, unlike most other boards with hard rails.

About Walden

Known by many as the “father of the modern longboard,” Steve Walden shaped his first surfboard in 1961, at age thirteen, and never looked back. Eight years later, the Southern California native opened his first board factory and shop in Huntington Beach, before moving to the North Shore of Oahu in 1972, where he made a name for himself as a prolific longboard shaper.
