The ModFun is designed to work for surfers of all levels in almost any condition. From mushy, waist-high waves to overhead and hollow. For beginner surfers or seasoned experts, the versatility of the Mod Fun makes it an excellent choice if you need a board that can handle all the conditions you surf and travel to.

This board is a true wave catcher. The outline has width and stability under your chest and a moderately full nose for easy paddling. The low to medium nose rocker helps your paddle speed, prevents nose diving, and provides good glide on small or weak waves.

As the waves get bigger, you step back and the board transforms. Thanks to the pulled-in tail and the vee running from the middle through the fins, the board feels shorter than its length.

Built in TET construction, these boards are extremely strong and durable, designed to withstand impacts in and out of the water while remaining light and easy to handle.

Construction - Soft Deck

Torq takes a fully built TET surfboard, with the same shape, lay-up, fin system and shield skin, and adds a foam deck skin to it.

What are the benefits?

TET is Torq's strongest construction: lightweight and great to surf. For surf schools or rentals, these boards are extremely durable.

The EVA foam skin is soft, so it's safer if your board hits you. Convenient if you are learning to surf. The skin is also grippy, as Torq uses a textured EVA, so you don't need wax. Great in warm climates and much less messy.

The skin adds some volume, especially in the rail, and a fuller rail is more stable. More volume means more buoyancy and therefore better paddling.

How do they surf?

Underneath the Torq Softdeck is a real surfboard: a full-fledged hard board designed for surfing. The surf performance is basically the same as a TET, with a nice light and neutral feel: responsive but forgiving.
