Torq Horseshoe TEC - Single Fin - Longboard

Drawing from 60 years of classic longboard design, the Horseshoe offers a distinguished ride. It's the luxury ocean liner, first-class from start to finish. Its low rocker, wide and straight outline, and 50/50 rail combine to create a board that trims effortlessly. The wide nose with single concave is designed to generate lift, providing ample stability for nose riding. In the tail, the rocker gently kicks up over the last 12" and the fin cluster is positioned slightly forward, making this board much easier to turn than a traditional heavy noserider. If you're looking for a classic noserider without the weight of a traditional board, one that trims and glides, noserides easily yet still turns, then this is your board.

Construction - TEC

Torq Epoxy Composite offers performance shapes in a vacuum-epoxy layup. Vacuum-epoxy involves hand-lamination, after which a vacuum process binds the fibers to the board and extracts excess resin. Torq employs a few tricks in this vacuum process that allow for a much lower resin content than is typically achievable.

What are the benefits?

Torq can add extra layers of fiber while keeping the total weight low: Torq's shortboards have 18oz of fiber on the deck and 10oz on the bottom, approximately double what you'd find on most boards of the same weight.

The result is light and durable. The weight is comparable to that of a PU, but it contains much more fiber and additional layers for rail reinforcement.

How do they surf?

The performance is very direct: TEC responds immediately, which works particularly well in smaller or weaker waves. In larger waves, the advantage is that they break much less easily.

If you're used to PU, they might feel fast at first. After a few sessions, your old PU will feel quite sluggish!

Torq's team riders report that their boards last 2 to 4 times longer than their previous boards.
