The board that won the ISA 2025 Longboard World Championship

This is the board on which Edouard won the 2025 World Longboard Championship. His performance was textbook Delpero: long, technical nose rides and surgically precise carving cutbacks.

The Pro Wide is an evolution of his original Pro model. Torq added width from the center point forward, creating a high-performance longboard with extremely good noseride characteristics. This comes at a small cost in swing weight, but it enormously increases the planing surface in the nose and enables long, stable nose rides. It also improves speed over the water, making wave catching easier.

From the center point to the tail, the board possesses the high-performance characteristics for Edouard's signature deep carving cutbacks. At the tail, the narrow outline, foiled rail, and high rocker, combined with a double concave to V, together create a super sensitive tail.

This speed shape is the perfect balance between old-school and progressive longboarding: a wide, stable nose combined with a high-performance, radical tail.

Construction - TEC

Torq Epoxy Composite offers performance shapes in a vacuum-epoxy layup. Vacuum epoxy involves hand lamination, after which a vacuum process binds the fiber to the board and extracts excess resin. Torq employs a few tricks in this vacuum process that keep the resin content much lower than normally achievable.

What are the benefits?

Torq can add extra layers of fiber and still keep the total weight low: Torq shortboards have 18oz fiber on the deck and 10oz on the bottom, about double what you'd find on most boards of the same weight.

The result is both light and durable. The weight is comparable to that of a PU, but there's much more fiber and more layers for rail reinforcement.

How do they surf?

The performance is very direct: TEC responds immediately, which works particularly well in smaller or weaker waves. In larger waves, the advantage is that they break much less easily.

If you're used to PU, they'll feel fast at first. After a few sessions, your old PU will feel very sluggish!

Torq's team riders report that their boards last about 2 to 4 times longer than their previous boards.
