Torq Delpero Mid Pro Wide TET - Futures - 2 + 1 - Mid-Length
Description
A compact version of the board that won the ISA 2025 Longboard World Championship.
The MPW – Mid Pro Wide – encapsulates the essential characteristics of Edouard Delpero’s Pro Wide shape into a versatile midlength. The noseriding attributes of the Pro Wide translate into a very fast and stable entry for planing, paddling, and catching waves. Torq has lowered the rocker and extended the concave under your feet for immediate acceleration.
The magic of this board lies in the tail: from the midpoint back, the MPW features the high-performance characteristics for Edouard's signature, deep-carving cutbacks. The round pin, foiled rail, and tail rocker work in conjunction with a double concave to vee, giving the board immense drive from the bottom turn and allowing the rail to hold through a long arc.
This is a speed shape compressed into a high-performance, yet easy-to-surf and versatile board. It feels light and lively underfoot and can handle almost all conditions, from knee-high to over head-high.
Fin(s) included: None.
Construction - TET
The original Torq construction – a completely new way to build surfboards.
First, a blank is blown to its exact final size with a measured amount of EPS. These are not hand-shaped or CNC-milled: they are perfect in one go – perfect shape, perfect weight, perfect foam structure.
The blank is covered with biaxial fiberglass cloth and the proprietary Shield Skin, with a computer-mixed and measured amount of epoxy resin.
A second press mold – CNC-milled with precision from a single block of aluminum – cures the resin, heated for perfect resin distribution.
What are the benefits?
Accuracy – no shaping, sanding, or guesswork. The entire process is controlled: foam density, resin content, and fin inserts.
Low waste – no shaping means no shaping waste. The cloth is laid dry, so remnants can be recycled. The resin is measured by weight and applied without anything dripping onto the floor.
Durability – biaxial cloth is stronger than regular weave, and much of it can be used thanks to the efficient lay-up. The blanks are made of high-density EPS, and epoxy resin is stronger than polyester.
Sustainably produced – a low-waste process and a long lifespan mean less impact. Production runs on solar energy, all materials are sourced locally, and the boards are packaged in slim, chlorine-free boxes with plastic-free void fill.
How do they surf?
The feel is similar to PU. Due to the extra fiberglass, they absorb vibrations well, without the super-light response of the TEC. They have a pleasantly light, neutral feel – responsive yet forgiving.
About Torq
Torq is known for epoxy surfboards that combine low weight with high strength, from accessible all-rounders to high-performance shapes developed with renowned shapers. Each construction – TET, TEC, or ACT – has its own character, but all are built to last. This makes Torq boards a good fit for Hart Beach: boards that can withstand daily use in the North Sea and work for every skill level.
