Torq 24/7 TEC - FCS II - 2 + 1 Fin - Longboard
Description
The 24/7 is the ultimate all-round longboard design for every day of the week. It's a board you can throw in the bus without checking the webcams first; from knee-high to overhead, for noseriding, cruising, or turns, it works.
In terms of shape, the 24/7 is precisely between the nose riders and pro performers: a balanced outline with width in the nose for noserides, a straight mid-section for trim, and a pulled-in tail for turns and control in the pocket. The rocker matches the outline – low entry for stability, flat mid-section for speed, and a flip in the tail for turns. There's enough volume for maximum paddling, with a foiled rail through the fins and in the tail.
The 24/7 is a complete longboard quiver in one board: a true all-rounder.
Fin(s) included: No.
Construction - TEC
Torq Epoxy Composite offers performance shapes in a vacuum-epoxy layup. In vacuum-epoxy, laminating is done by hand, after which a vacuum process binds the fiber to the board and pulls out the excess resin. Torq has a few tricks in that vacuum process that keep the resin content much lower than normally achievable.
What are the benefits?
Torq can add extra layers of fiber and still keep the total weight low: Torq's shortboards have 18oz fiber on the deck and 10oz on the bottom, about double what you'd find on most boards of the same weight.
The result is light yet durable. The weight is comparable to that of a PU, but there's much more fiber and more layers for rail reinforcement.
How do they surf?
The performance is very direct: TEC responds immediately, which works out particularly well in smaller or weaker waves. In larger waves, the advantage is that they break much less quickly.
If you're used to PU, they might feel fast at first. After a few sessions, your old PU will feel very slow!
Torq's team riders report that their boards last about 2 to 4 times longer than their previous boards.
About Torq
Torq is a European surfboard brand known for its epoxy and EPS constructions: TET, TET-CS, TEC, and ACT. The brand builds shapes for every level, from first waves to competition longboards for team riders like Edouard Delpero, always with an emphasis on lightweight and high strength. At Hart Beach, this fits perfectly: boards that withstand the North Sea year after year without sacrificing performance.
