Description
The Synthetic 84 is a tribute to the good old days when Timmy started his first surfboard label, Synthetic surfboards, in the 80s.
Timmy has incorporated all the strengths of the boards he built back then into today's modern shapes.
That combination is pure magic and has been tested by some of the best surfers in the world. The verdict from everyone who rode the Synthetic 84 was nothing short of rave reviews. The enthusiasm meter went through the roof.
The Synthetic 84 has a lower rocker, and the bottom runs from flat to a slight single concave, to a slight double, finishing with a vee at the tail.
The deck remains flat, with a down rail and a beak nose. This provides maximum volume, while the down rail allows you to put this higher-volume board on rail in critical sections and during your bottom turns.
It has a fuller outline, so this board increases your wave count and comes in handy when you have to battle the crowds daily.
Ride this model approximately 2 inches shorter than your regular shortboard. It comes as a tri-fin setup.
Construction - Fusion Pro
Surftech's version of a standard EPS and epoxy surfboard construction. A closed-cell EPS core with a wooden stringer is built with E-glass and biax glass for a lightweight performance board with a lively feel. All Fusion HD boards are hand-finished.
- FUSED CELL EPS CORE // Fused cell EPS core provides more response and buoyancy
- CLEAR HD-EPOXY RESIN // Epoxy resin with high thermo-mechanical performance
- HIGH-QUALITY E-GLASS FIBERGLASS // E-glass has the highest strength-to-weight ratio available
- FULL BIAX DECK PATCH (45 / -45 degrees) // Biax fiberglass distributes forces and protects against dings
- CARBON STRINGER // Distributes forces, provides pop, and increases break strength
Fin(s) included: None.
