Scheveningen has gained another author and a new children’s book about surfing with the publication of *Siggy wil surfen*. Or, as it’s also known: *Siggy Wants to Surf*. The picture book features a single story in two languages: Dutch and English.

Siggy lives in Scheveningen by the sea and would love to surf. It’s just not as easy as she thinks. Fortunately, she gets help from an unexpected source. With tips from familiar seaside and beach landmarks, such as the lighthouse and the breakwater, Siggy learns to surf. But above all, she learns that it’s not just about performance.
