The Double Slim also has a hidden fold-out sidewall, which allows you to convert it from a single to a double board bag and back again in an instant. A super versatile design for travel. Like all ROAM bags, this one is cut more generously, so the bag fits the size stated on it: a 6'8 bag fits any board up to and including 6'8, so you can take your groveller and your step-up with you when you go to check the surf. About size and shape

Most board bags come in different shapes, tailored to the type of surfboard: Fish, Shortboard, Longboard, and so on. The main difference is in the shape of the nose and in the width. In doubt? Then choose a board bag with a wider nose - a shortboard fits perfectly in a Fish bag, and if you take two surfboards, extra space is only useful.

A ROAM surfboard bag is made to fit the board stated on it: a 6'8 bag fits a 6'8 board. If the bag itself is 6'8 long, it is actually a 6'6 bag. Not every brand does it this way, so check carefully.

The width is also important, especially if you are packing two or more surfboards.

Also pay attention to the shape of the tail and whether there is a tailbox or fold-out fin pocket, so you can pack your surfboard with fins. (Always remove your fins when traveling by plane.)
