The Phantom is the middle child in the Ghost family, a step-down version of John John Florence's current favorite model (the Ghost), and designed to be your go-to board for everyday conditions.

When Pyzel released the Ghost, they had no idea that its unique design would be embraced by so many people in so many different types of waves. However, the feedback from surfers was that this board performed best in shoulder-high to overhead conditions. Pyzel wanted to create a step-down board that would provide the same feel on head-high and smaller days to make the most of daily surf sessions. The Phantom is a Ghost that has been flattened, boosted, and given extra volume, great for your daily sessions in less-than-epic conditions.

Pyzel has maintained the same Ghost rocker but has added more single concave to flatten the center. This helps create speed and flow without compromising the overall performance of the original design.
The added width in the tail and nose creates a more parallel, fuller outline that helps you maintain speed in slower sections and make sharp turns.

The rails are full (not thick), giving you more float and speed without sacrificing sensitivity. The Phantom performs best in waist-high to head-high waves of all types and is your daily driver with a high level of performance. Use it around your height, a little wider, and about the same thickness as your Ghost board.
