Phantom - Futures Thruster

The Phantom is the middle child of the Ghost family, a step-down version of John John Florence’s current favourite model (the Ghost) and designed to be your go-to board for everyday conditions.

When Pyzel launched the Ghost, they had no idea that its unique design would be embraced by so many people in so many different types of waves. However, feedback from surfers suggested that this board performed best in shoulder-high to overhead conditions. Pyzel wanted to create a step-down board that would feel the same on head-high and smaller days to get the most out of everyday surf sessions. The Phantom is a Ghost that’s been flattened, beefed up and given extra volume – brilliant for your daily sessions in less-than-epic conditions.

Pyzel has retained the same Ghost rocker but has added more single concave to flatten out the centre. This helps to create speed and flow without compromising the overall performance of the original design.
The added width in the tail and nose creates a more parallel, fuller outline that helps you maintain speed in slower sections and through tight turns.

The rails are full (not thick), giving you more float and speed without compromising sensitivity. The Phantom is at its best in waist-high to high waves of all types and is your high-performance everyday board. Choose a size around your usual length, slightly wider and roughly the same thickness as your Ghost board.
