Moved By Bikes - SUP Lower Bar Set - Bike Carrier Set

The SUP Lower Bar by Moved By Bikes has proven to be the best, and these sets are larger versions of the cradles on standard bicycle and scooter surfboard carriers.

The inner width of the cradle increases from 3.8" to a full 6", accommodating thicker SUP boards, including inflatable SUPs. It's also useful for carrying two lighter boards or other thicker items. The instruction sheet includes a detailed size comparison.

THIS IS NOT A COMPLETE RACK. This is only a larger set of lower cradles that you can add as an upgrade to any full rack set.

Longboard racks can be used well with SUPs, with the following limitations:

• Moved By Bikes recommends the racks for boards up to approximately 25 lbs. Heavier boards are difficult to cycle with and exceed the load capacity of the bars.
• SUPs are wide, and you need space under your handlebars. In practice, this means you can only carry a SUP on a beach cruiser with high cruiser handlebars.
• The standard bar sets have just under 4 inches of space for your board. Many SUPs are 4 to 5 inches thick. The good news: the lower U-shaped part of the bars is relatively easy to bend further open for wider SUPs.
• If you have an inflatable SUP, it will likely be around 6 inches thick. For this, there is a separate set of replacement lower bars.
