Moved By Bikes - Longboard Rack (SUP)
Description
Moved By Bikes Longboard Racks have proven to be the best and are mounted directly to your frame, making them super stable, even with longboards and even with stand-up paddle boards (SUPs) up to about 25 lbs. The racks also work great with shortboards. The front mount is designed to secure to the head tube of your frame, one of the strongest points of your bike. The rear mount attaches to your seat post or to a regular pannier rack if you have one; the box includes mounting hardware for both options.

Assembly
The longboard rack installation video shows all features and mounting options. Just watch it and you'll immediately know how the racks will fit on your bike.
Quick release bars and stable mounting
Moved By Bikes racks are built around their patent-pending quick release bars. The serrated design of the bars allows you to secure them into the mounts on your frame with a simple push of a button. After your surf session, you push the button and easily remove them. When you want to leave again, you slide them back in until they click into place.
Stable mounting in 3 versions
The racks come in 3 versions: Longboard, Shortboard, and Moped. Choose the version that suits you. All racks are made of aluminum and stainless steel, so they won't rust in a seaside environment. The mounting hardware is designed to be versatile enough to fit almost any bike and work with almost any surfboard. If you're unsure if a rack will fit your bike, Moved By Bikes will gladly help you by looking at a photo.
Using the racks with SUPs
The longboard racks can be used well with SUPs, with the following limitations:
- Moved By Bikes recommends the racks for boards up to approximately 25 lbs. Heavier boards are difficult to cycle with and exceed the load capacity of the bars.
- SUPs are wide and you need space under your handlebars. In practice, this means you can only transport a SUP on a beach cruiser with high cruiser handlebars.
- The standard bar sets have just under 4 inches of space for your board. Many SUPs are 4 to 5 inches thick. The good news: the lower U-shaped part of the bars is relatively easy to bend further open for wider SUPs.
- If you have an inflatable SUP, it will likely be about 6 inches thick. For this, there is a separate set of replacement lower bars.
