Unrivalled, unprecedented, and pure fun: the DOPE MACHINE is the first in Misfit's collaborative series with MAD MINDS advocate George Henderson of A DEAD COFFIN CLUB.

At its core, it's a combination of a classic funboard with a high and wide wide point, almost a nod to a seventies single fin, crossed with a modern fish or hybrid. The distinctive diamond tail gives the board a shorter rail line, allowing the water to release earlier. This creates an early pivot point for an enormously responsive board that turns tighter and allows you to position yourself even in the more critical sections of a wave.

The volume in the rails has been slightly reduced, the rocker has been increased, and the bottom concave has been boosted for a surprisingly lively ride. The name doesn't lie: the DOPE MACHINE is a tough customer. It's a little-known fact that the Los Angeles police used DOPE MACHINEs as riot shields during the great brawl of 1988, even before the invention of transparent, impact-resistant polycarbonate.
