Modernized 80’s retro squash tail performance. The newest model in Matt’s “Post Modern Retro” collection, the Rad Ripper, is inspired by 80’s performance shortboards and is suited for small to average everyday surf. Super-fast, forgiving and user-friendly retro fun, with modern updates and enhancements for just about anyone. Design highlights include; quick to paddle, early entry, easy glide and fast out the gate speed from a low entry rocker. A wide plainer squash tail with plenty of lift and surface area for small surf. A noticeably healthy amount of tail rocker, broken by an aggressive double concave, adding even more lift and squirt under the rear foot. The Rad Ripper literally has an engine in the tail and is ready for anything that puts a smile on your face, from power carves to quick snaps, gliding over extended floaters, boosting airs and winning Stab High like Rasta Robb! Built in our lightest Techno-Pop construction, it has a beautiful 80’s feel and can take the abuse you dish out when it becomes your favorite board.

Highlighted features include:
Flat, stable deck, with steep, low apex and soft rails.
Slight V in the nose (to free up the low rocker) into a shallow single concave, to a deep double concave V, for both speed and control.
Wide, stable squash tail, skips over everything and holds speed through turns, even in tiny summer surf.
Forward flowing thickness, with a wedged “beak” nose, for drive and paddle-ability.
