A modernised take on 80s retro squash-tail performance. The latest model in Matt’s “Post Modern Retro” collection, the Rad Ripper, is inspired by 80s performance shortboards and is suitable for small to medium-sized everyday surf. Super-fast, forgiving and user-friendly retro fun, with modern updates and improvements to suit almost everyone. Design highlights include: fast paddling, early take-off, easy glide and a quick start with a low entry rocker. A wide, plainer squash tail with plenty of lift and surface area for small waves. A noticeably healthy amount of tail rocker, cut through by an aggressive double concave, which adds even more lift and squirt under the back foot. The Rad Ripper basically has a motor at the back and is ready for anything that puts a smile on your face, from power carves to fast turns, gliding across extended floaters, pulling off jumps and winning Stab High like Rasta Robb! Built using our lightest Techno-Pop construction, it has a lovely 80s feel and can take the knocks you’ll give it once it becomes your favourite board.

Key features include:
Flat, stable deck, with a steep, low apex and soft rails.
A slight V-shape in the nose (to free up the low rocker) leading into a shallow single concave, then a deep double concave V, for both speed and control.
Wide, stable squash tail, glides over everything and maintains speed through turns, even in small summer waves.
Tapered thickness, with a wedge-shaped ‘beak’ nose, for drive and paddling power.
