Over the past year, Occy has fallen back in love with surfing. He’s in the water more, constantly working on boards with JS, and re-discovering all of his old favourites to combine the best of the past decade with our next golden era… Now.

The Raging Bull is an incredibly forgiving, versatile travel board that’ll be your go-to for better days at home, and any time you’re lucky enough to chase proper waves. It features all of the elements Occ wanted to make high-performance surfing easy. User-friendly, but with the ability to handle heavier conditions and powerful surfers. Compared to our other models built for quality waves, there are plenty of differences. A fuller nose with the wide point and extra thickness pushed forward combines with a flat entry rocker to make paddling fast and getting into waves early a breeze. Once surfing, it generates and maintains all of that extra speed.

A pulled-in tail provides control for turns and barrels in more critical conditions, while a touch more curve in the exit rocker increases maneuverability and release off the lip. A moderate single concave starts under the front foot and runs into a double just in front of the fins to provide lift and more intuitive rail-to-rail transitions. And then there’s Occ’s favorite part – what he calls, the “Raging Bull thickness.” This basically refers to JS maintaining a strategically generous distribution of volume throughout the board, which goes hand-in-hand with thicker stock dimensions. This is key for more paddle power, flying over flat sections, and to re-quote Occ: “lets you leave it on rail forever.”
