Over the past year, Occy has fallen in love with surfing all over again. He’s in the water more often, is constantly working on boards with JS, and is rediscovering all his old favourites to combine the best of the past decade with our next golden age… Now.

The Raging Bull is an incredibly forgiving, versatile travel board that’ll be your go-to for better days at home and whenever you’re lucky enough to head out in search of proper waves. It has all the elements Occ wanted to make performance-oriented surfing accessible. User-friendly, yet capable of handling rougher conditions and powerful surfers. Compared to our other models built for quality waves, there are many differences. A fuller nose with the widest point and extra thickness towards the front, combined with a flat entry rocker, ensures you can paddle quickly and catch waves early. Whilst surfing, it generates and maintains all that extra speed.

A drawn-in tail gives you control for turns and barrels in more critical conditions, whilst a slightly more curved exit rocker enhances manoeuvrability and release from the lip. A moderate single concave starts under the front foot and transitions into a double concave just in front of the fins to provide lift and more intuitive rail-to-rail transitions. And then there’s Occ’s favourite feature – as he calls it, the “Raging Bull thickness.” This essentially refers to JS maintaining a strategically generous distribution of volume across the board, which goes hand in hand with thicker standard dimensions. This is the key to greater paddling power, gliding over flat sections, and, to quote Occy again: “lets you leave it on rail forever.”
