Hypto Krypto FutureFlex – FCS II Thruster

The Hypto Krypto remains the most versatile shape in the Haydenshapes range. The outline resembles an old-school double fin at the nose, and combined with a generous amount of volume under the chest, it ensures it paddles like a dream and supports the rider’s acceleration from the front foot.

Towards the tail, the outline tapers into a rounded arrowtail, creating plenty of rounding around the rear foot. This not only provides sufficient grip in bigger swells, but also allows you to carve tighter turns in the pocket. The foil is also refined into a thinner, tapered rail to keep the board connected to the wave.

The rocker design, which is flat throughout with a slight lift at the entry, is geared towards speed, allowing surfers to tackle sections they wouldn’t normally expect to tackle. The concave runs from a rolled V at the entry to a slight single, which transitions into a V-double from the tail, giving the board great speed and control from rail to rail.

All in all, the Hypto Krypto is a one-stop board that lets you ride around the world whilst having fun in average conditions, and can also take you into the barrel and out onto the open face when the swell is pumping!


Technology

Designed and patented by Haydenshapes founder Hayden Cox, FutureFlex is a winning combination of modern, bespoke materials and cutting-edge design innovation for high-performance surfing. The construction combines a stringerless, custom-moulded high-density EPS core, laminated with biaxial fibreglass, epoxy resin and a parabolic carbon fibre frame. The carbon fibre frame within the laminate is key to the overall performance of the product. Designed to maximise speed and drive whilst minimising twist, FutureFlex essentially stores and releases energy as the surfer navigates a turn.
