Harley Ingleby Mid6 by Billy Tolhurst - Thunderbolt Mid-length

The Mid6 range is designed to offer maximum performance for mid-length boards in all types of waves. The finely rounded pin tail, flowing outline, smooth rocker with a touch of nose flip, are equally comfortable turning deep in the pocket as they are in long, open turns.

High nose rails that flow into the mid and low hard rails at the tail, beveled from the middle, provide a nice balance between drive through sections while maintaining grip in tight turns.

While the Mid6 performs excellently in everyday surf, the board is also refined enough to comfortably handle serious waves. Bill has perfectly blended the six channels. They are not so aggressive that they bog down during turns, and it's very easy to break a line or extend your turn at any point of the wave. With the channels balanced between your feet, the response is immediate when you push hard through a turn, and the acceleration is unmatched compared to other boards I've ever owned.

The Mid6 breaks the stereotype that channel bottoms are only good in clean waves. It has proven to be good in everything.

FINS: Thruster or quad fin setups work well with six channels for a positive feel. For 6'4 - 7'0, the new FCS Harley large mid set is recommended, and for the 7'6 and 7'10 Mid6, the FCS Harley XL quad set is recommended. Other fin combinations may also work well, but we recommend sticking with medium to large quad rear fins with an 80/20 foil, combined with any flat large to XL front fins.
