The Harley Ingleby HIBT 3+3 is the result of a full collaboration between world-renowned shaper Billy Tolhurst and two-time world champion Harley Ingleby. Unlike previous models that evolved from existing shapes, the HIBT was designed from the ground up through an intensive R&D process to create the most versatile board in the Thunderbolt Technology line.

Technical Design & Versatility

At the core of the HIBT's innovation is its "3+3" fin system. This unique configuration allows for three distinct riding styles within a single board, making it a true 'quiver-killer' for surfers who demand adaptability:

True Quad: Maximizes speed and lateral grip for high-performance rail-to-rail surfing.
True Twin: Offers a free and loose feel with less drag, perfect for riding creative lines.
Asym Setup: Enables customized fin clusters to tune performance for frontside or backside preference.

Performance Characteristics

Bottom Contour: Features a subtle yet highly effective bottom shape, designed to keep the front of the board free and neutral. This specific water displacement ensures the board remains manageable, even when surfing with more volume than on your standard shortboard.
Maneuverability: Designed to be incredibly 'loose' for maneuvers at the top of the wave, regardless of size. The HIBT maintains a high "flick" factor, allowing for quick changes in direction without losing momentum.
