Gerry Lopez Glider - NFT - Single Fin - Longboard
Description
Gerry Lopez calls this glider his secret weapon. If you're looking for an unfair advantage over the rest of the lineup, look no further than this fast-paddling, smooth-gliding board that takes off like a lightning bolt.
Very subtle bottom contours allow Gerry's Glider to move effortlessly over flat water, giving the board an almost magical momentum. A flat deck hides extra volume under your chest while paddling and provides stability as you glide from section to section.
A pulled-down rail allows the board to change direction without forcing it, and cuts neatly through steep sections of the wave face. You only need minimal steering to get this board going.
You basically just need to stand up; the board does the rest. The Gerry Glider makes 1ft waves a blast, but can potentially also be ridden in big surf if you can handle the speed the board generates.
Natural Fiber Technology (NFT)
Natural Fiber Technology is not only made with natural composite reinforcements, it also gives a fantastic natural feel. Half of the reinforcement in these boards consists, by volume, of naturally sourced fibers like flax and hemp. The other half consists of E-glass, and the whole is layered and vacuum bagged under pressure to maximize adhesion and minimize excess resin. This results in an impressive strength-to-weight ratio. The natural fiber not only replaces a significant portion of what would otherwise be fiberglass, but also improves damping for a predictable, natural response. The simple appearance of this layup has an elegance matched only by how the board rides.
- FUSED CELL EPS CORE (DUAL-CORE WITH PU RAILS) // Closed cell EPS core provides more response and buoyancy
- CLEAR HD-EPOXY RESIN // Epoxy resin with high thermo-mechanical performance
- HIGH-QUALITY E-GLASS FIBERGLASS // E-glass is the industry standard and has the most reliable strength and performance of all surf glass variants
- NATURAL FIBER REINFORCEMENT // Renewable, reliable, resilient, and wonderfully supple

MR Pipeline
WAVES KEEP COMING, THAT'S THE ONLY THING YOU CAN COUNT ON IN LIFE
Gerry Lopez grew up in the unique Hawaii of the 1950s and 60s. He played a role in the shortboard revolution of the late 1960s and early 1970s. He experienced the awe, fear, and ultimate satisfaction of finding the tube in the early days of Pipeline. He traveled the world for waves: to the very first surf camp at G-Land, the remote islands off the coast of Sumatra, and especially to the magical island of Bali in Indonesia, even before it became a popular surf destination. He witnessed the beginning of windsurfing in Maui, and the early years of snowboarding and tow-in surfing at Jaws. Today, Gerry Lopez shapes unique boards that further his surfing journey. This collection is the quiver he takes around the world to surf the very best breaks.
