Kelly Slater’s S Boss is a high-performance shortboard that remains fast, loose, and forgiving, giving advanced and expert surfers more speed, earlier take-offs, and tighter turns in both everyday and good waves. Designed with Dan Mann in I-Bolic and fiberglass constructions, it delivers a PU-like drive with modern flex and durability for a true “one board quiver” feel.

Shape details

Outline: The S Boss features a fuller, more parallel outline with a modern “bullet” nose and rounded tail, packing plenty of foam without feeling clunky and providing enough rail in the water for drive.
Rocker: Relaxed overall rocker with ample nose lift to fit into the pocket and a clean, fast release from the tail, allowing you to push hard without slowing down or getting stuck.
Bottom: Double-barrel through vee concept, a raised stringer “spine” with concaves on both sides, for lift, speed, and effortless rail transitions at both low and high speeds.
Rails: Moderately boxy, forgiving rails that bite well once you put the board on rail, yet remain stable for intermediates stepping down in size.
Tail: Rounded tail for fluid, long carves that can still turn tight in the pocket, ideal for rail-to-rail surfing and confident top-turns.
