FCS II Al Merrick Performance Core Twin Fins + 1

The AM Twin + 1 is CI's original twin template. This twin set is designed for speed and fast, effortless steering.

Overview

This twin template features a robust base that provides exceptional drive and a heavily tapered, narrow tip that releases quickly and easily as you turn off the top.

Due to its low sweep, this twin template stands very upright, allowing the board to pivot in a tight radius with minimal drag. Additionally, the side fins sit quite deep in the water, providing an underlying sense of stability as you drift through more powerful turns.

The trailer fin is offset from the standard shaper's dot position and moved forward on the fin tabs. This tightens the overall fin cluster, making it more suitable for twin + 1 models and hybrid boards like the G-Skate and the Rocket Wide.

Performance Core

Performance Core (PC) fins are made using a multi-layer resin transfer molding process. The flex pattern in PC fins gradually increases from the base to the tip, maintaining drive and hold through a turn. This versatile fin material is lightweight and can be used in a variety of conditions.
