CJ Nelson Oracle - Thunderbolt Silver Construction Longboard

In 2016, Thomas Campbell lent his Skip Frye Eagle to CJ to help him through the Santa Cruz summers. Until then, CJ had little experience with gliders, except for occasionally surfing his father's 10'3" Phil Edwards Waikiki. The speed and glide he felt on the Eagle completely changed his perception of how a longboard should truly surf. The long turns and relaxed flow immediately captivated him, but he always wondered: couldn't such a board also noseride, pivot, and slash turns—transforming it from a novelty board to a daily driver?

The design of this Glider project has been a long time coming. We have transformed a point-and-shoot glider into an all-around performance longboard. For years, CJ experimented with gliders from the world's best shapers. The only thing that always bothered him: almost all gliders are temperamental and difficult to surf. They catch waves easily, but navigating once on the wave is tricky. We wanted to break with that tradition and build a glider that not only catches waves easily but also surfs like no other. The Oracle features generous rocker to prevent hang-ups, a performance rail, a concave nose and tail flip for noseriding, and lightweight, responsive glassing that takes everything to the next level.
