This is the winning shortboard for the 2023 Stab in the Dark with Italo Ferreira. Every year, STAB organizes a double-blind surfboard competition where the shaper doesn't know the surfer they're building a board for, and the surfer doesn't know which brand is under their feet.

With maximum performance in mind, the Al Merrick 2.Pro offers more speed thanks to less rocker, making it easier to surf for a wide range of surfers in a greater variety of waves. With ¼" less rocker compared to the CI Pro, the 2.Pro retains the same subtle single concave that transitions into a slight double concave through the fins, keeping the surfboard in the water and creating that familiar connected feel during transitions.
