Description
This is the winning shortboard from the 2023 Stab in the Dark with Italo Ferreira. Every year, STAB organises a double-blind surfboard competition in which the shaper does not know the surfer for whom they are building a board, and the surfer does not know which brand is under their feet.
With the aim of maximising performance in mind, the Al Merrick 2.Pro offers greater speed thanks to less rocker, making it easier to ride for a wide range of surfers across a greater variety of waves. With ¼" less rocker compared to the CI Pro, the 2.Pro retains the same subtle single concave that transitions into a slight double concave around the fins, keeping the surfboard in the water and creating that familiar, connected feel during transitions.
