A combination of the ‘Wing Twin’ from the 1970s and the ‘Swing Thruster’ from the 1990s, this is Aipa’s next-generation performance groveler featuring Surftec construction.

The outline, combined with the winged thumbtail, the relatively moderate rocker and the concaves in the board, creates a lively yet controlled ride. The deep V and double concave ensure you can roll easily from rail to rail with minimal pressure on your back foot.

These design elements and the Twin+ trailer fin set-up translate seamlessly for surfers of intermediate to professional level. The Dark Twinn is known as “a free-feeling thruster” and gives surfers the chance to experience a more fluid and dynamic side of high-performance surfing.

The Dark Twinn proved its dominance by winning Surf-n-Show’s Board of the Year in 2022. From competition to freestyle, this model has been put to the test by AIPA team rider and one of Hawaii’s best, Kekoa Cazimero, who, riding his Dark Twinn at Ala Moana Bowls in a QS event, scored no less than an 8-point ride during his heats. Right through to Central Coast team rider Joel Bishop, who surfs at the treacherous Pismo Beach, California, as if it were a breeze – just like our North Sea.
