Originally developed for the well-known Seaside model, this fin set brings that classic, ‘basey’ twin-fin feel to any quad-fin board in your quiver.

From Twin to Quad Unlike traditional quad fins, which are often based on thruster templates, Machado has taken a twin keel as the starting point for this design. The result is a set that generates plenty of forward drive and is ideal for long, drawn-out carves. This updated version has been balanced even better, ensuring the fins perform well under a wide variety of surfboard shapes.

Performance and Pivot In this update, the front fins have been given slightly more rake, whilst the rear fins (quad rears) have been made slightly steeper (upright). This significantly enlarges the sweet spot. You retain the characteristic drive to tackle sections, with the added benefit of being able to pivot more sharply and directly when the wave gets steeper. This allows you to position your back foot much more freely. What’s more, this set is 15 per cent lighter than the previous generation and slightly stiffer for a direct, predictable response.
