Always wanted to learn to surf? At Hart Beach you can learn to surf the waves of the North Sea all year round! Do you want to learn how the waves work, how to control them and, of course, catch that wave? Our surf crew consists of dedicated instructors who go into the water with you 365 days a year. Anyone can learn to surf, including you!

What are you going to do?
This beginner's lesson is all about fun and building confidence in the water. Our experienced, certified instructors will take you on an adventure.
- Safety First: On the beach, we'll explain how the sea works, what to look out for, and how to handle your board safely.
- The Pop-up: We'll practice the perfect pop-up on the sand.
- Real Deal: Then into the water! With the help of the instructors, the kids will catch their first waves in the surf.

Good to know
At Hart Beach we keep the groups small, so that each child gets the attention they deserve.
- Age: For everyone aged 16 and over.
- Certificate: A swimming certificate is mandatory.
- All-in: We arrange everything! A safe soft-top surfboard and a warm Roxy or Quiksilver wetsuit are included in the lesson.
As international students often participate, the lesson may be given in English. If you are not comfortable with this, please let us know when booking or contact the surf school.

- Changing Rooms: Every lesson includes a hot shower and changing facilities.
- Certified Instructors: All our instructors are certified and hold a lifeguard diploma.
- Free Lockers: Use a free locker to store your belongings. Bring your own lock. : We arrange everything! A safe soft-top surfboard and a warm Roxy or Quiksilver wetsuit are included in the lesson.
- OPEN 365 DAYS A YEAR: At the Hart Beach Quiksilver surf school, you can learn to surf 365 days a year.

Surfing in winter
We're not deterred by a little cold, and neither should you be! With our high-end winter gear from Roxy and Quiksilver, you'll barely notice it's freezing:
- 5/4 mm Wetsuits: Our thickest suits keep your core temperature perfectly regulated.
- Full Protection: Including warm neoprene booties, gloves, and caps to keep out every drop of cold.
- The After-Surf: After 1.5 hours of charging in the waves, warm up immediately under our piping hot showers, and a steaming cup of soup will be waiting for you by the fireplace.

Is een zwemdiploma verplicht bij deelname aan een surfles bij Hart Beach?
Ja, bij deelname aan een surf- of SUP-les moet je in het bezit zijn van een zwemdiploma.

Voor de surfschool maken wij gebruik van een ander systeem dan de webshop. Klik op deze link om in te loggen als je al eerder bij ons hebt gesurfd.
Waar zijn jullie gevestigd en waar kan ik parkeren?
Hart Beach Surfschool bevindt zich aan het strand van Scheveningen, aan de noordkant van het havenhoofd op het zuideinde van de Boulevard. Adres: Strandweg 3B, 2586 JK Scheveningen.
Er is een Q-Park te vinden aan de strandweg.

Tot hoe laat kan ik surfen en hoe laat sluiten jullie?
Hart Beach is 365 dagen per jaar open, van 08:30 tot zonsondergang. Dit betekent dat je tot een uur voor zonsondergang bij ons spullen kunt huren. Op hele goede dagen openen we nog weleens eerder, dit vind je dan terug op onze Instagram en in onze whatsapp community.
Hoe weet ik of de les doorgaat?
Lessen zijn afhankelijk van de golven en het weer. We bevestigen alle lessen altijd één dag van tevoren via e-mail. Twijfel je? Neem dan contact op via 070-3502591 of surfschool@hartbeach.nl.
Zijn jullie ook in de winter open?
Jazeker — we zijn 365 dagen per jaar geopend! Sterker nog, in de winter zijn er vaak betere en mooiere golven dan in de zomer. Geen excuus om thuis te blijven!
Are the lockers free?
De lockers zijn gratis als je je eigen slot meeneemt. Heb je geen slot, dan kun je er één kopen aan de balie voor €5,00.
Hebben jullie douches en kleedkamers? Mag ik hier ook gebruik van maken als ik mijn eigen spullen heb?
Wij hebben kleedkamers met douches en lockers. Deze zijn primair bedoeld voor gasten van de surfschool en het restaurant. Heb je je eigen surfspullen? Geniet dan van een hapje of drankje bij ons restaurant — zo ben je meteen ook een van de gasten! 😊
