At Hart Beach, you learn that skating is much more than just a board under your feet. During our skate lessons for kids, we focus on balance, control, and most importantly, safety. Our experienced coaches teach you exactly how to brake, steer, and swerve, so you can safely hit the streets in no time.

What are you going to do?
Are you ready to take on the Scheveningen boulevard on four wheels? You choose your own style with us:
- Surfskate lesson: With our special surfskates, you'll learn how to generate speed by 'pumping' and how to make deep turns. It's the ultimate training to improve your surfing technique while cruising the boulevard.
- Longboard lesson: Do you prefer speed and stability? Then choose a longboard. Our instructors will teach you how to maintain your balance on these longer boards, how to brake safely, and how to comfortably cover long distances.

Where are you located and where can I park?
Hart Beach Surfschool is located on Scheveningen beach, on the north side of the pier at the southern end of the Boulevard. Address: Strandweg 3B, 2586 JK Scheveningen.
There is a Q-Park to be found on Strandweg.
On sunny days and weekends, it can be busy. For an up-to-date overview of parking options, we refer you to The Hague's parking information.
Are the supervisors and surf instructors experienced enough?
The surf camps are led by an experienced camp leader, together with a team of enthusiastic supervisors and certified surf instructors. All instructors hold a first aid and lifeguard diploma. We work with small groups, so there is always sufficient supervision in the water. In addition, there is extra supervision on the beach for activities, photos, and rest breaks. This ensures there is always sufficient supervision, both in the water and on the beach.
What should my child bring?
Swimwear, a towel, an extra T-shirt, a warm jumper, socks, closed shoes (for skateboarding), long trousers, and your own water bottle. And a big smile, of course!
Are the lockers free?
De lockers zijn gratis als je je eigen slot meeneemt. Heb je geen slot, dan kun je er één kopen aan de balie voor €5,00.
Do you have showers and changing rooms?
Wij hebben kleedkamers met douches en lockers. Deze zijn primair bedoeld voor gasten van de surfschool en het restaurant. Heb je je eigen surfspullen? Geniet dan van een hapje of drankje bij ons restaurant — zo ben je meteen ook een van de gasten! 😊
Can adults and children be in the same class?
This is only possible during the family surf or family skate lesson. Group lessons for children and adults start at different times, have different durations, and the physical differences make it difficult to combine them.
